How HyperShot Works

HyperShot is an all new, no compromise, type of 3D renderer for any digital data. It takes away all the complication of lighting, shader development, scripts, and long menus.

HyperShot can literally be used for valuable work in minutes. Within a very short time, you will get results, that in the past, were acheived only by experienced experts. It's perfect for industrial designers, architects, engineers, model builders, hobbyists, or enthusiasts who want to make beautiful imagery without all the fuss.

The steps below shows just how simple it is. However, you can't know until you try it for yourself...so get your trial version here and make sure you post your results on HyperShot forum

Step 1

Import your model
Press the space bar to toggle the main hyperShot menu or you can use CTRL+I to import a 3D model from most popular CAD and 3D applications.

Click ALT+LMB on the model to adjust and orient its position.

Step 2

Tune your look
Open the material library with M and select a material clicking SHIFT+LMB. Assign it by clicking SHIFT+RMB on the model.

Assigned material parameters can be adjusted by double clicking LMB on a material, allowing customization of numerous optically accurate material types.

Step 3

Select an environment image
Open one of the many available environment HRDIs - High Dynamic Range Images - using CTRL+E. This image will provide all the photorealistic lighting and shadowing of your model.

You can rotate the environment with CTRL+LMB and reset it with CTRL+R.

Adjust the brightness of the environment image using the arrow keys. Up & down for big changes, left & right for small steps.

Step 4

Import any backplate image
You can open any high-resolution image using CTRL+B to serve as a quality backdrop for your scene. The model appears on top with a ground shadow, while still receiving lighting from the environment image.

The visibility of the environment can be toggled by pressing E and the backplate can be cleared with the B key, so the model can also be viewed by itself over a solid color.

Step 5

Adjust your point-of-view
You can adjust your view at any time by clicking and dragging the Left, Middle and Right mouse buttons to Tumble. Pan and Dolly the camera around your model. Using ALT+Wheel you can adjust the camera's focal length (zoom).

To choose a new point of the model to tumble around (pivot point) click on the new location using CTRL+RMB. Reset the Camera using ALT+R.

Step 6

Sit back and enjoy the view
Since hyperShot is rendering all the time, you only have to wait a few moments for your image to resolve to high quality. You can save a desired screenshot by pressing P, or choose to render an even higher resolution image with CTRL+P. Don't forget to save your .bip file with CTRL+S so you can recall your work.

That's all there is to it. Now go make something cool look nice.
