3Dconnexion SpaceMouse^® products have been developed to deliver intuitive, precise, advanced 3D navigation for CAD applications with it's unique 6DoF controller cap. It is the ideal tool for engineers, designers, architects and other CAD users to create and review 3D designs across a wide variety of industries.

• Ergonomics: The devices are designed specifically for CAD users who spend long hours on their CAD applications. With the combination of 6DoF Controller, large tactile buttons, programmability and device configurators, the CAD user has one of the best tools to improve workflow, reduce fatigue and become more efficient day-to-day.
• Compatibility: The devices are powered by 3Dconnexion 3DxWare, a free download driver application for 3Dconnexion devices. It comes with pre-defined default button mappings (key mapping) for most of the popular CAD applications out there. The device is thus compatible with most CAD applications right out of the box.
• Development: More and more CAD software developers are working to make sure their applications are compatible with 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse and 3DxWare. For those applications that are not yet compatible, the end user can easily customise the button configurations from inside 3DxWare.
• App-specific Auto Configuration: When you open your CAD application, the commands are mapped instantly and automatically to the buttons as 3DxWare detects the CAD application being used. It changes it's configuration on-the-fly instead of having a single global configuration for all applications.
• CadMouse: 3Dconnexion's CadMouse products are an optional compliment for the SpaceMouseproducts. These also make use of the 3DxWare driver application thus increasing the options available for the CAD users to tweak and improve their workflow.
• Customisable: 3DxWare settings are also highly customisable to make the device truly part of any end user's own unique CAD workflow. Button mappings can be re-defined and macros can be defined and assigned to buttons or even assigned to on-screen radial menus. Radial menus are only shown on demand. They can be defined with 4 sections or 8 sections and a command or macro can be assigned to each section of the radial menu. This makes the SpaceMouse and CadMouse far superior to any other mouse or keyboard with macro keys.
